Arkema takes part in the Chillventa tradeshow in Nuremberg
As the world’s second largest fluorochemicals producer, Arkema will be exhibiting at the very first edition of Chillventa, an international tradeshow for suppliers to the Refrigeration, Air-conditioning and Heat Pump industries, to be held in Nuremberg from October 15th to 17th, 2008.
With its dynamic R&D teams, leading commercial rankings, global recognition of its fluorinated gas range under the brandname Forane®, and industrial partnerships with key players in the refrigeration industry, Arkema has genuine assets to assist its customers, equipment manufacturers and distributors, in the (construction and automotive) air-conditioning and refrigeration sectors.
For Arkema, Chillventa 2008 will be an opportunity to reiterate its commitment to helping its customers anticipate the tightening-up of environmental standards. In 2005, Arkema decided to anticipate the context of the 2000 European regulations (banning HCFC refrigerant fluids, whose emissions deplete the ozone layer, for the maintenance of all refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment in Europe from January 1st 2010), by being one of the first players to market an HFC blend, Forane® 427 A, for the retrofitting of existing refrigeration equipment.
In July this year, in anticipation of European Directive 2006/40/CE, Arkema was the first manufacturer to announce its intention to invest in Europe into the production of a new fluorinated gas with a low global warming potential designed to replace gradually, from 2011, the HFC 134a gas currently used in automotive air-conditioning circuits.
Arkema representatives will be pleased to welcome visitors to Stand 1-212, Hall 1, and set out the Group’s strategy against the backdrop of these various environmental standards.
A press conference will be held on: Wednesday October 15 2008 at 16.30h.
