Introducing ZF:
the largest Trespa Meteon panel ever

New larger panels bring greater design freedom for Architects, offering new design options that were not available until now. In addition to delivering aesthetic and commercial benefits, these new panels underline Trespa’s commitment to growth.

In July 2008 Trespa International, leading manufacturer of high quality architectural panels for exterior cladding and other applications, introduced a new size for its successful range of Trespa Meteon panels.

The new format (4270x2130mm) is known as Trespa Meteon ZF. It is available in all Trespa Meteon colours, in all standard thicknesses - with satin texture. With this introduction, Trespa offers the market the largest sheet size available in HPL Compact, delivering significant customer benefits and underlining the company’s leadership and commitment to market growth.

Greater design freedom

The new large format Trespa Meteon panels offer exciting new design options for façade grids, that were previously not possible. Trespa Project Manager Claire Pépin says: “The introduction of the new size panel gives architects and designers much more choice. It allows them to create new shapes and combinations that previously could not be created because of size restrictions or because they were not economical.” New shapes include, for instance, squares measuring

2m x 2m or 2m x 1m, etc.

The addition of the ZF panel size will bring significant commercial benefits too.

Ms. Pépin: “Projects can be completed with improved cost effectiveness. Analysis on a random selection of projects confirms that an improved yield can be achieved through cutting optimization. In addition to the design and cost benefits, Trespa Meteon ZF also lowers the overall burden on the environment. Lowering the amount of cutting losses will significantly reduce the product’s overall environmental impact in terms of waste material and energy.”

Commitment to market growth

With the introduction of the new ZF size, Trespa International demonstrates its commitment to current and future growth. Claire Pépin: “We have made a significant investment to complete the introduction of this new size. We have done this to support architectural creativity – and to maximize the future output of our existing facility, so we can continue to support our customers’ future growth.

“We are excited about the introduction of ZF, which will make Trespa Meteon literally the biggest panel available on the market today. This opens up many new opportunities for our customers, both in commercial and aesthetic terms. We are committed to working with our customers to ensure that the Trespa Meteon ZF panel is not only the biggest product, but also the biggest opportunity for growth in our industry.”

Trespa Meteon

Trespa Meteon architectural cladding panels are based on thermosetting resin, homogeneously reinforced with 70% wood fibres and manufactured under high pressure and high temperature. The result is a panel which is very tough and exceptionally durable, with dimensional stability and workability similar to hardwood. The smooth, non-porous surface resists the accumulation of dirt and retains its high physical performance and appearance in any weather or in extremes of temperature. The high impact-resistance of the panel means that it cannot easily be damaged, scratched or abused and is very easily cleaned.

Trespa Meteon is available in many colours, effects and finishes. The smooth non-porous surface will retain its physical performance and appearance for many years. As a source of inspiration and creativity for architects, Trespa has introduced Perspectives (http://perspectives.trespa.com) to stimulate architects' creativity, with Character, Depth and Rhythm as themed sources of inspiration for innovative shapes, techniques, as well as combinations of colours and materials. Trespa has further deepened these three themes with the concepts of colour, curved elements and light, pushing the limits of creativity even further.
